Airline Price Wars – Capitalize on Your Air Fare

Airline Price Wars – Capitalize on Your Air Fare

Most people travel to some degree or another, be it for vacation or work. Whether you travel a lot or just the odd vacation, you will want to make sure you get the best deal on any airline tickets. Taking a plane can be a bit pricey, especially when you add it into all the other expenses you must deal with when traveling, so making sure you pay the least amount of money is an important aspect to keep in mind.

If you are looking for some ways to help capitalize on Airline price wars and get yourself the best possible deal, then look no further. The following list of tips are things you can do easily, but despite being easy they can also save you a lot of money.

1: Book your flight in advance. If you know you are going to be flying somewhere months before your actual trip, then book ahead. Many airlines will offer discounts to those who book a month or more before their actual flight. You can also use the months leading up to keep tabs on the various competing airlines, as prices can fluctuate greatly as the different companies get into Airline price wars, driving overall prices down.

2: Be flexible. If you are going to be traveling somewhere, try to be as flexible as possible. What day you fly on, or even what time of the day can greatly affect your prices. If you book a flight during off days where people do not want to travel, as well as times when people do not travel, you can get huge discounts. It is a little more cumbersome, which is why a lot of people do not do it, but it is a great way to save yourself a little extra money.

3: Check for upgrades. A lot of airline companies will offer a variety of deal packages and upgrades that most travelers simply are not aware of. For example, active military personnel often get a discount on many flights. Other such great deals can be out there if you go looking, so with just a bit of investigative work you can save yourself even more money.

4: Bundle up. This is a more common approach to getting a good deal on your airline, as I am sure you have seen commercials telling you to bundle up your services. But it is true, if you bundle up your hotel, rental car, and flight you can often save money then if you had paid for each one separately. If you are going to be using these things anyways, why not take the cheaper approach?

Finding ways to save money on your trips really is not that hard. While it can be a bit time consuming, especially if you wait for Airline price wars to drive the prices down, it ultimately does not take that much effort and can make a huge impact. Every dollar you save on your traveling expenses is another dollar going to your vacation, or anything else you may want or need it for.

Recovery Is My Relapse

Recovery Is My Relapse – The Poem

Alcohol, weed and then cocaine; working on recovery is all the same. Verbal abuse and rape; I don’t know my name; taking men and women’s innocents; recovery the same.

First step, forth step, six and then ten, if I shoot myself in the head, would that a sin? Meeting after meeting uncovering the addictive map; I pray to God in heaven, recovery is my relapse.

Running in the woods, getting away from the freaks, I got a man in a cage; answers the recovery I seek! He said recovery is my relapse; I’m very grateful for that. Look all around you consider recovery and the map.

Can you Afford to Retire?

Can you Afford to Retire?

No longer do people retire and sit at home inactive. Today’s retirees are more active than ever. Unfortunately, those activities take money and unless you’re planning to sit at home and wait for death you should be making plans to take care of all those things you wish you had done earlier in life once you retire. See the 40/40/40 plan did not work. Working for 40 hours per week doing that work for 40 years to retire on 40% of your current pay.

While you are planning for your financial retirement you should also take the time to make plans for what you will do once you retire. Do you need to join a travel club now in order to have an established membership when the time comes to actually enjoy the benefits of belonging? How about that book of the month club? Many of these clubs are great to join while you have the extra ‘disposable’ income that goes along with working and having a career. You can take the time now to build up your library. Even if you read the books now, chances are that by the time you retire you’ll enjoy the ability to read them again.

If you are retiring today you will want to make plans to go parasailing, take cruises, ride horses, and maybe learn to golf and/or knit. You do not want to spend your golden years sitting at home waiting for the inevitable end. You want to leave this world laughing about all the fun and good times you’ve had. The stereotypes associated with retirees are changing quickly as the world evolves and people are living longer than ever before.

Retirement

When you plan your funds you also might want to take the time to have a few daydreams about the places you will go and save a page or two to write about those dreams and sharing them with your partner in life. You should also take time to find out what he or she hopes to do, where he or she hopes to go, and the things that he or she would like to see when making plans for your retirement. After all, you have shared your lives together it only makes sense that you will share the best years of your lives with one another.

There is no better input to get when it comes to your retirement than the input of your life partner. You should also take things in stages and not try to do and see everything in the first months or year of your retirement. The novelty of not going into the office each and every day will wear off quite soon. You will then find that you can only mow your lawn so many times a day without actually doing more harm than good to your grass. You’ll know every leave of every flower in your garden, and you will know the inside and outside of every book on your shelves.

Don’t become a victim of boredom in your retirement as that brings on spending sprees. Make sure you have some interests to occupy your time so you are not spending your precious retirement funds on unnecessary things. To learn more watch this short video before it is too late… Click Here!

Happiness Vs Joy

Happiness Vs Joy

The 3 things you need to know!

When you think about the words happiness or joy many people feel warm thoughts and a smile appears on their faces just by the mention of the words. They experience thoughts of pleasant places and possibly people during better times. Most people use the words interchangeably when in fact they have very different meanings.

Let us look at both words. According to Dictionary.com

Happiness – The quality or state of being happy. Good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy.

Joy – The emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation:

I would like to suggest that both words are connected, however when you think about where the feeling originates, that happiness is a result of an external influence:

When she received the flowers, she was very happy.

Now let us consider where the feeling of joy originates from a more internal place. A place that resonates with you on a deeper, even spiritual level:

“The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy.” Jim Rohn

So what would increase your happiness or joy? The answer to this question for most people resides in the emotional balance of body, mind and spirit. Here are 3 things you can explore to increase your happiness and joy.

Top 3 ways to improve emotional balances:

1) Taking Charge.

2) Leverage Your Time.

3) Identify & Avoid Life Blockers.

Taking charge

You are in a place where you deserve to be happy. Yes, you deserve to enjoy your life on your own terms, but happiness only happens when you take charge of the things that are important to you. Don’t allow others to fully dictate the elements in your path to what you really want. Including your health (what you choose to eat), wealth and relationships.

Leverage Your Time

The most underutilized, this skill to achieving happiness and joy, which is the power of choice. You may be asking yourself what do you mean I under utilize my power of choice. Well, I am glad you asked…

When you over use your credit cards not realizing that this is not money in your account, but someone else’s money and you are borrowing with a high interest for that privilege.

Not seeking methods to reducing the fees you pay on all the accounts you hold.

Last but not least, most people do not realize what is the biggest expense you paid. Most believe it to be their car, home or even education when in fact it is your taxes you pay each month. Do not believe, subtract your net pay from you gross and compare you other expenses.

So you may be allowing others to dictate where you live, what vacations you take and what education you can afford.

Identify & Avoid Life Blockers

  1. a) Stress
  2. b) Self-Perception

Stress

The greatest thief to happiness and joy is stress. Now stress is a subject unto itself. Now the study into meditation has clinically proven that 10 minutes a day will open up a pathway in your brain to balance stress in your life. Many people stress over money, so track where your money is going. For 30 days write down all purchases in a small notebook.

Self-Perception

It has been said that birds of a feather flock together. It has also been said that a person’s personality is made up of the top 5 people you choose to spend your time with. What is the quality level of your friends? Is anyone blocking your growth? Sometimes to achieve a greater level of happiness and joy could be as simple as making the choice to change the people you are around and be careful to include people who are going in the same direction in life you want to go. So let us explore how you share your life.

Face time vs Facebook (Engaging in drive by friendships) quiz

*Quiz:

  1. I prefer to text or email rather than make a phone call or have a face-to-face interaction. T or F

  1. I have hundreds of friends on social media but rarely make plans with them in real-life.  T or F

  1. I rely on social media to learn about major moments in my friends’ and family’s lives (i.e. engagements, new jobs, births, etc.). T or F

  1. I rarely call on friends or family when I feel sad or depressed. T or F

  1. When it comes to celebrating, I wouldn’t feel comfortable inviting the majority of my friends on social media to a party. T or F

If you said “True” to at least three questions, this indicates that you could be lonely. Social media could be one of the main reasons why because it gives the illusion that you are

connected with others even though there is no physical or verbal contact. Try using your social media accounts as a tool to help you get together with your friends and family face-to-face to make yourself happier.

Your happiness and joy is a series of small decisions culminating into a great life. Be sure to share your journey for the greatest results.
