Schizophrenia Affecting Mental Health

Schizophrenia Affecting Mental Health

People fear schizophrenia in a generalized sense. There is a common mentality that when one has schizophrenia, bringing back mental health is impossible. That would be probable if early signs are not observed and treated. Here, you will get to know what really schizophrenia is and how it converts a person’s personality on a whole new level.

Shadow Of Two People Attacking Man

Defining schizophrenia

According to studies made, schizophrenia is a kind of brain disease that is chronic and severe. It is a devastation to man’s illness because of misinterpretation, it is not given enough attention to be treated, making it worse as time pass. There is a probability that out of the entire population, there will be at least one percent that will be affected. Every year, there are about two million Americans that suffer from schizophrenia.

Who is affected?

Patterns of age and gender are usually affected. Men and women can get the disease in an equally related frequency. Schizophrenia is often experienced by men during their early stage which is usually upon their later teenage years and earlier twenties. While in women, schizophrenia is seen when they have reached their early twenties or during their early thirties. Children who are aged five and above can also develop the debilitating disease but has little occurrence during adolescent years.

Facts about cure

Although there is no exact cure for the case, there are high hopes that schizophrenia can be cured. Research has stated that medications can ease some of the prominent symptoms and it has also paved the way to unravel the different complicated causes of the disease. Science is using different kinds of approaches and alternatives that may be derived from molecular genetics going to population study in order to learn more about schizophrenia. Newer insights have been held in order to image an affected person’s brain structure and further gain knowledge about the disorder.

Suffering from schizophrenia

Signs and Symptoms

  • Confusing and shocking behavior that is apparent in the change of behavior of the person.

  • The sudden occurrence of psychotic symptoms which are severe and can be described as the acute phase of the disease.

  • Psychosis which can be referred to as the impairment of the brain’s normal status and is marked by certain delusions and hallucinations.

  • Withdrawal from the public and isolation of oneself.

  • Behavior, thinking process and speech pattern is unusual.

Those who have schizophrenia may or may not have several signs and symptoms. Some may manifest three to four while others are still vague.

Chronic schizophrenia which can also be related with a recurring or continuous pattern of the illness has the littlest chance of recovering from the person’s normal body functioning and somehow requires a longer need for treatment that may include the inclusion of different drugs in order to control the disease’s symptoms.

How do schizophrenics view the world?

  1. Perceptions of reality that are distorted by delusions and hallucinations. They can also feel unusual fear, confusion, and anxiousness.

  1. Illusions and hallucinations are referred to as the disturbances of a person’s perception which are common in people who suffer from the illness. The voices that one hears are oftentimes the person’s view of impending dangers or their way of carrying on a conversation.

Contrary to what people perceive, schizophrenia is not a type of split personality and are not violent. They are those who are referred to people who have a world of their own. Mental health can be attained through early recognition of the signs and symptoms that are shown by the diseased person.

How to Create a Pattern of Success

How to Create a Pattern of Success

Once you experience success you will be able to look back and realize that you achieve all success pretty much the same way. You set a goal, follow through on the tasks needed to be done for achieving results, keep an open mind, learn from others, track your successes, (most important) to learn from failure and do not give up! Regardless to the people or obstacles that attempted to block your path. It’s the same thing, over and over again. And it works.

If you want to create a pattern of success in your life, you can start now by learning the secret that successful people know. Successful people are only special because they are doers and follow through. They are not smarter than others; in fact, it is entirely possible you are smarter on paper than they are. You just don’t follow through.

Become a Goal Setting Expert

Start at the top and learn how to craft the best goals for yourself. Know that the goal is something that can be accomplished and know that the goal is measurable before you finish writing it. Most of all, make sure it’s a goal that you really want to achieve. Know the difference between a goal and a dream, one has a date and steps to achieve it.

Schedule Everything

People who achieve are doers. If you want to get something done, schedule it no matter how silly it might seem to you. If you put it in a scheduled time, and not just on a generic “to do” list, it will be more likely that you get it done.

For instance, if you have set a goal to write an 80,000-word novel by a certain date, then you should know how many pages you need to get done each week and which days you can work on it, which times, hours, and how long it takes you to write a page. Successful writers write; they don’t wait for inspiration to strike. They schedule it, and do it. The same can be said for anything you want to achieve. You don’t wait until you want to do it; you do it on schedule.

Automate the Mundane

There are a lot of things that need to be done but that can escalate easily into “busy work” which doesn’t get you closer to a goal. Bookkeeping for instance is something that can be accomplished today, with the right software, almost automatically. You can schedule payments to happen automatically; you can also use software that enters everything for you in the ledger. Freeing up time to focus on your scheduled activities that must be done to achieve the goal is a more productive use of time.

Get Outside Expert Help

To be a success doesn’t mean you should do everything yourself. You’re not on your own. The best scientists, professors, doctors, lawyers, and CEOs have assistants who help them look great. You too can hire outside help and contractors to help you do the tasks needed to reach your goals. Other than doing exercise for you and thing you must do physically for yourself, there isn’t much you can’t outsource today.

Stop Reinventing the Wheel

In most cases, someone has already done it before you. Someone has already worked out the kinks and devised a plan of action that will work for you too with hardly any tweaks. Learn from other people’s mistakes and realize that you can gain valuable information from what others are already doing.

Never Stop Learning

They say it takes ten thousand hours of reading about a topic to become an expert on any subject. Keep this in mind as you look toward your future and set your goals. If you want to be an expert, you’ll need to start today building up those ten thousand hours. Even if you know nothing about a topic today, you can be an expert in just ten thousand hours.

Know Your Core Values

As you set goals to create a pattern of success, it’s imperative that you know what your core values are in terms of family, personal, physical and your financial life. Everyone has different areas they need to work on more than others – you need to know what your areas are to set realistic goals that you want to meet.

Track, Assess, Repeat

Nothing is ever done without the paperwork, as they say. Well, that includes creating a pattern of success. Only by setting goals, then tracking and assessing the results of the goals, and then repeating what works will you create a pattern of success.

Creating a pattern of success requires knowledge of goal setting, and goal achieving, and an in-depth knowledge of yourself. Starting today you can gain that knowledge and create a real pattern of success in your life.

Recovery Is My Relapse

Recovery Is My Relapse – The Poem

Alcohol, weed and then cocaine; working on recovery is all the same. Verbal abuse and rape; I don’t know my name; taking men and women’s innocents; recovery the same.

First step, forth step, six and then ten, if I shoot myself in the head, would that a sin? Meeting after meeting uncovering the addictive map; I pray to God in heaven, recovery is my relapse.

Running in the woods, getting away from the freaks, I got a man in a cage; answers the recovery I seek! He said recovery is my relapse; I’m very grateful for that. Look all around you consider recovery and the map.

Can you Afford to Retire?

Can you Afford to Retire?

No longer do people retire and sit at home inactive. Today’s retirees are more active than ever. Unfortunately, those activities take money and unless you’re planning to sit at home and wait for death you should be making plans to take care of all those things you wish you had done earlier in life once you retire. See the 40/40/40 plan did not work. Working for 40 hours per week doing that work for 40 years to retire on 40% of your current pay.

While you are planning for your financial retirement you should also take the time to make plans for what you will do once you retire. Do you need to join a travel club now in order to have an established membership when the time comes to actually enjoy the benefits of belonging? How about that book of the month club? Many of these clubs are great to join while you have the extra ‘disposable’ income that goes along with working and having a career. You can take the time now to build up your library. Even if you read the books now, chances are that by the time you retire you’ll enjoy the ability to read them again.

If you are retiring today you will want to make plans to go parasailing, take cruises, ride horses, and maybe learn to golf and/or knit. You do not want to spend your golden years sitting at home waiting for the inevitable end. You want to leave this world laughing about all the fun and good times you’ve had. The stereotypes associated with retirees are changing quickly as the world evolves and people are living longer than ever before.

Retirement

When you plan your funds you also might want to take the time to have a few daydreams about the places you will go and save a page or two to write about those dreams and sharing them with your partner in life. You should also take time to find out what he or she hopes to do, where he or she hopes to go, and the things that he or she would like to see when making plans for your retirement. After all, you have shared your lives together it only makes sense that you will share the best years of your lives with one another.

There is no better input to get when it comes to your retirement than the input of your life partner. You should also take things in stages and not try to do and see everything in the first months or year of your retirement. The novelty of not going into the office each and every day will wear off quite soon. You will then find that you can only mow your lawn so many times a day without actually doing more harm than good to your grass. You’ll know every leave of every flower in your garden, and you will know the inside and outside of every book on your shelves.

Don’t become a victim of boredom in your retirement as that brings on spending sprees. Make sure you have some interests to occupy your time so you are not spending your precious retirement funds on unnecessary things. To learn more watch this short video before it is too late… Click Here!

Happiness Vs Joy

Happiness Vs Joy

The 3 things you need to know!

When you think about the words happiness or joy many people feel warm thoughts and a smile appears on their faces just by the mention of the words. They experience thoughts of pleasant places and possibly people during better times. Most people use the words interchangeably when in fact they have very different meanings.

Let us look at both words. According to Dictionary.com

Happiness – The quality or state of being happy. Good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy.

Joy – The emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation:

I would like to suggest that both words are connected, however when you think about where the feeling originates, that happiness is a result of an external influence:

When she received the flowers, she was very happy.

Now let us consider where the feeling of joy originates from a more internal place. A place that resonates with you on a deeper, even spiritual level:

“The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy.” Jim Rohn

So what would increase your happiness or joy? The answer to this question for most people resides in the emotional balance of body, mind and spirit. Here are 3 things you can explore to increase your happiness and joy.

Top 3 ways to improve emotional balances:

1) Taking Charge.

2) Leverage Your Time.

3) Identify & Avoid Life Blockers.

Taking charge

You are in a place where you deserve to be happy. Yes, you deserve to enjoy your life on your own terms, but happiness only happens when you take charge of the things that are important to you. Don’t allow others to fully dictate the elements in your path to what you really want. Including your health (what you choose to eat), wealth and relationships.

Leverage Your Time

The most underutilized, this skill to achieving happiness and joy, which is the power of choice. You may be asking yourself what do you mean I under utilize my power of choice. Well, I am glad you asked…

When you over use your credit cards not realizing that this is not money in your account, but someone else’s money and you are borrowing with a high interest for that privilege.

Not seeking methods to reducing the fees you pay on all the accounts you hold.

Last but not least, most people do not realize what is the biggest expense you paid. Most believe it to be their car, home or even education when in fact it is your taxes you pay each month. Do not believe, subtract your net pay from you gross and compare you other expenses.

So you may be allowing others to dictate where you live, what vacations you take and what education you can afford.

Identify & Avoid Life Blockers

  1. a) Stress
  2. b) Self-Perception

Stress

The greatest thief to happiness and joy is stress. Now stress is a subject unto itself. Now the study into meditation has clinically proven that 10 minutes a day will open up a pathway in your brain to balance stress in your life. Many people stress over money, so track where your money is going. For 30 days write down all purchases in a small notebook.

Self-Perception

It has been said that birds of a feather flock together. It has also been said that a person’s personality is made up of the top 5 people you choose to spend your time with. What is the quality level of your friends? Is anyone blocking your growth? Sometimes to achieve a greater level of happiness and joy could be as simple as making the choice to change the people you are around and be careful to include people who are going in the same direction in life you want to go. So let us explore how you share your life.

Face time vs Facebook (Engaging in drive by friendships) quiz

*Quiz:

  1. I prefer to text or email rather than make a phone call or have a face-to-face interaction. T or F

  1. I have hundreds of friends on social media but rarely make plans with them in real-life.  T or F

  1. I rely on social media to learn about major moments in my friends’ and family’s lives (i.e. engagements, new jobs, births, etc.). T or F

  1. I rarely call on friends or family when I feel sad or depressed. T or F

  1. When it comes to celebrating, I wouldn’t feel comfortable inviting the majority of my friends on social media to a party. T or F

If you said “True” to at least three questions, this indicates that you could be lonely. Social media could be one of the main reasons why because it gives the illusion that you are

connected with others even though there is no physical or verbal contact. Try using your social media accounts as a tool to help you get together with your friends and family face-to-face to make yourself happier.

Your happiness and joy is a series of small decisions culminating into a great life. Be sure to share your journey for the greatest results.
